Marin Headlands Drive & Nike Missile Tour

We’re planning to meet the morning of July 22nd at the Starbucks at 1209 Marina Blvd in San Leandro for a departure time of 9:30.

Everyone should bring a sack lunch and dress in layers.  It would also be a good idea for people to bring their own chairs to sit on in case they are needed, depending on where we stop in the Marin Headlands.

We’ll cruise as a group to Fort Baker first, where there are bathrooms.  It’ll be beautiful but it could also be windy and cold in the Marin Headlands.  From Fort Baker we’ll cruise to the Marin Headlands and find the location that’ll be great for photo ops (see attached photo/rendition) and the picnic area where we can eat our lunches.  There will be several interesting opportunities to see things during our time in the Marin Headlands, but that part will unfold closer to the day of our event or even just at the event. 

The day will be memorable no matter what we do, so we hope you all can join us.
